Randall Cooper, FACP

Specialist Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist - sub speciality knee (2008), Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists. 

Randall Cooper is the co-author of the Acute Knee Injuries Chapter of Clinical Sports Medicine (Brukner & Khan) for the past three editions. He trained in physiotherapy at La Trobe University and graduated in 1996 and went onto complete a research based Masters Degree in 2004 investigating proprioceptive rehabilitation following ACL injury and reconstruction. His supervisors were Julian Feller and Dr Nicholas Taylor.

Randall has worked with a variety of elite sporting teams including the Hawthorn Football Club, the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia and was selected as a physiotherapist on the 2006 Australian Winter Olympic Team. Randall has also been a senior practitioner and former Head of Department at the Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre in Melbourne for the past 13 years.

Recently, Randall has been working on and implementing a return to sport testing regime following ACL reconstruction with Orthopaedic Surgeon Hayden Morris. This regime is now known as the Melbourne Return to Sports Score, and the results of an analysis of the score are being presented at this years’ AAOS and ISAKOS Conferences.
